We are kinda, sorta falling in love here – yep the hubby is getting kicked to the kerb and we have a new paramour. Heidi Chisholm we worship at the altar of your design greatness (we must be happy this friday we haven’t even thought about drinking or suicide measures after seeing her work) It is blinking aces! We love the stuff so much that it almost makes us want to cry in a very good way. Good graphic design makes us sick, sweet invitation design make us feel even sicker – we have been pushed over to the dark side, cake and chocolate won’t fix this only drinking chocolate sauce straight, no ice cream and right from the bottle… Jeremy and Kathleen honestly, do you need to be this good?
OMG we love thee! This shoot is shutter fantastic, photogasmic, and just plain fantastic and we love every single shot. We have no fidelity – we have probably spread our love about as much as Tiger Woods when it comes to our love of the shutter candy. (We ain’t the only lovers though these also be on the love and super nice Forget me knot Weddings)
But, seriously not only are we loving Hillary Mercer’s work, we are also in deep like with the couple. Joie and Cody look the kind who we would want to drink beers with in the sunshine while skipping across the fields where some of this shoot was taken. We really love the jumping shots – they are the images that always guarantee a crazy, gum flashing, Mr Ed style smile out of us.
We also really love the retro touch to the colour of these images, that great washed and slightly grungy look that we get from the images of yesteryear. But, these are perfectly spliced with the contemporary to create their own modern retro!
The spacing, the light, just absolutely everything about these images is Exhibit A in the case of Beyond Beyond and our shutter candy addiction when it comes to all things wedding.
