So, this is the moment that you have hopefully been waiting for… and I hope that you like it! As you might know from last week I was part of an amazing photo shoot. When I first got the email from Kat (the genius blogger wonder woman behind this whole shebang) to do this shoot my gob was so smacked that I thought I would have to go to the shops to buy a new one.
Kat said “My inspiration for this shoot came from the fact that I had seen a lot of big brands in the States using fashion bloggers to model for and promote their new lines. I loved the idea and thought it could really work for the UK wedding market. After all, wedding blogs are the new wedding magazines right?! I approached Rachel at Wimbledon-based Luella’s Boudoir if she’d be up for letting us run wild in her shop and thankfully she loved the idea!”
Every single fibre of my body yelled a massive yes to what is one of the biggest highlights of my year so far, and when your 2011 kicks off with something so amazing– it sets the tone for the rest of the year. And you can read about a bit more on the shoot on the behind the scenes post. I am frankly honoured that I was in such fantastic company and a massive salute to blogger models Lacroix Lacroix darlinks…
Kat Williams – Rock n Roll Bride
Annabel Beeforth – Love my Dress
Alexis Cuddyre OMG I’m Getting Married
Charley Beard – London Bride
Kelly Hood – Boho Weddings and Events
(Pssst…If you click on those links you can see just how gorgeous my fellow bloggers are!!!)
So, first up thanks to the über team who are responsible for me looking like a better version of me, massive thanks go to thanks to!
The fantastic Rachel owner of the super fantabulous Luella’s Boudoir, quite frankly she is gorgeous and she should be up in these pictures herself but she hid (bless her). She provided gorgeous clothes and tried to keep us on a healthy track by sneaking us fruit, although I almost gave everyone diabetes with the sheer amount of Percy Pigs that I brought to the boudoir with me. (Everything that I am rocking is available to purchase from Luella’s Boudoir with a full list at the end of the pictures).
Lisa Devlin queen of the camera, who had the grand task of making sure that the lens of the super fancy Hasselblad didn’t crack from side to side when my nervously gurning mug appeared in its sights. Lisa is just a wonderful photographer who happens to be Wedding Photographer of the year and she was assisted by the fantastic Amy Bartlam.
My fantabulous outfits that I was rocking on the day were handpicked by super stylist Kate Barbour; she made me look hella good! Quite simply awesome!!!
The amazing hair people of the day were Severin Hubert of The Hepburn collection – a man who almost needs no introduction as he is almost ubiquitous when it comes to wedding hair. He did some amazing hair.
And the other lock magician is the super sweet and super lovely Elbie Van Eeden who is off to get married in South Africa, this gorgeous lady did my hair in a super cute bow – I mean literally my hair was shaped into a bow – nothing but good things to say about this super talented lady, and of course if you head over to RocknRollBride you will see the river of rainbow locks that she created for Kat, and Charley’s cute up do!
Alison Cameron and Kaz Fernando were the amazing makeup artists who have us all more than good face, but freaktastic faces. They made us all look super gorgeous! I don’t think I could ever make my face look that good again, and I was tempted to not wash my face just so I could keep my gorgeous make up on.
The amazing flowers well we have the fantastical Alison Trickey of Pollen Nation to thank for those! The smell was phenomenal not only were they were supremely gorgeous to look at, and I was tempted to have a bit of an American beauty moment in amongst all those petals.
Last but not least was the very cool video that you can see at the start of this post that was taken by the lovely boy that is Richard Wakefield of FX films, it is a fantabulous video and once again you can see my gurning mug! Oh happy days! So without much further ado, I guess you wanna see this pictures… well, here you go!
