As I write this I am wearing a black arm band and little tiny tears and making their way down my over made up little face, pooling at the bottom of my chin, and landing in my morning/ brunch time coffee – which is bitter enough without salt water being added to the mix.
I am crying because I miss all the amazeballs bloggers *sigh for sisters in bridal writing crime* and for the amazing suppliers who are quite frankly the loveliest bunch ever, at one of the loveliest wedding shows that I have had the pleasure of being part of – The Designer Vintage Bridal Show. It is a gorgeous bridal show, and I loved that it was intimate and super friendly. The great thing is that with the space and stands you really had time to speak to suppliers – and the stands were mega, I die over the work of Ava Styling and Vintage Glamour Days their stands were like woah!!!
So, a few weeks ago, on the 8-9th of October to be exact, I was invited to be a blogger in residence along side blog homies: Kelly of Boho Weddings and Events, Annabel of Love my Dress, Alexis (congrats newlywed!) of OMG I’m Getting Married, and Madam Rock n Roll Bride – Kat! You can see Kat’s write up from yesterday and me in a rather jaunty hat from Sharper Millinery too. I basically wore hats for a weekend, and got to spend time with fantastic people – I love my job!!!
The focus of my post is about the things that turn the pages of my little world bling, paper pimps, and cake (see I am that simple). So, here are some glorious pictures from image pimp Emma Case and as always I’ll attempt in my own imitable style to tell you about some of the wonderful suppliers.
On the paper design envy compettion that I need to crush *throws back head and does a laugh that would scare Stalin, Idi Amin, and Ivan the terrible* it was about Pocket Typewriter (but you know about the way I feel about them already), Lucy ‘the Ledge’ Ledger (and the way I feel about her), Illustries, Vann Thomas Design, and the double threat that is Dottie Creations (design and photography… le sigh!) Even though we are barganistas at times, the one thing we love to indulge in is luxury. Pure unbridled, unadulterated luxury – we love the idea of having an all out, knock ‘em dead wedding affair so opulent that it would make Petra Ecclestone blush.
However, having to get of our charter plane to fantasy Island (well charter Lear Jet – we are using imagination here) – Beyond Beyond, is thinking in terms a lot closer to home when it comes to Luxury, and wedding fever will be coming to London Town with the advent of the Luxury Wedding Show London which will be held at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea 22-23rd of October 2011.
