Happy Tuesday to you all… doffs spring time bonnet. I welcome you to Tuesday, Spring, and brighter days as the clocks have gone forward by one hour. So, as you know last week was all about the launch of the magazine which I’m really proud to have completed and send out into the digital universe.
Since I was a very busy beaver… I am doing the one day behind scheduling thing (I had a Monday of chilling like a James Bond villain… it was so needed!). It is all about link love and pretty things in this moment. This is what I’ve liked and loved this week around the internets:
Anna & Ross Eco Friendly Eclectic wedding on Boho Weddings
Games Brides (and hens) play on Bridal Musings
A Blush Wedding on Grey Likes Weddings
Super Cute project from the House that Lars Built
Girl Crush seems a silly thing to say… but if you have the chance watch this TED talk it is incredibly inspiring and moving. I have made love for Kakenya Ntaiya; watch her amazing talk on TED
We have a little bit of Ouma Magic in the new App Magazine. You can see more Ouma if you get your download on!
In five questions we get to know more about the incredibly talented Monique Sandoval. In five questions she tells us more about the fantastic Ouma
Define Ouma in five words?
comfortable, fun, natural, whimsical, ethereal
What inspired you to start your brand?
Designing is a instinctual feeling for me. I edit everything! Naturally, I am compelled to create pieces that stand apart from mainstream/disposable fashion.
How has your life changed since starting Ouma?
Being independent is a great feeling, I work a lot more but I enjoy what I do. I get to collaborate with people all around the world which is my favorite part about this journey! My husband and our daughters are part of this business, he helps me with the handy work, refines my procedures and gives me really good advice. My daughters 5 and 7 give me brilliant ideas sometimes. It feels good building something they can have a hand in when the time comes – if they decide to do so.
What would you tell your younger self?
hahah! Choose your friends wisely.
Words to live by?
“Don’t aim for success, if you want it just do what you love and believe in and it will come naturally. ”
I’d rather be authentic than a replica. I let life take me where i need to be by being true and honest to my instinct.

However, we have been able to sate our wounded spirits with some hot chocolate and these, from the Erstwhile Jewelry Company
