There has been a cake shaped hole in our hearts over the last few weeks, because we have been forgetting to share with you gorgeous and edible decadence. So, we are here with a real visual treat!!! The awesome cakes of Janet Mohapi-Banks!
The images were taken by the aptly named Sugar and Spice Photography (We were lucky enough to meet Juliet McKee and she is lovely!), We have featured Janet’s work before but we are still blown away by her talent and creativity when it comes to baking, she is an artist! So, time to lick your screen and guy and gals who are getting hitched you might want to make Janet your port of call.
There is a lot of talent behind the scenes too! Styling by Stacey-Marie Chalk of Cherry Topped Bespoke Weddings, the gorgeous flowers were courtesy of were husband and wife team Leah and Paul from Woods Florist in Epsom, and the pretty paper was from Ivy Ellen for providing the luxury wedding stationery featured. We were sucked in by the fantastical pink… but then we thought these treats are good enough treats to be part of anything. We could say wedding sweet table, but then on the other hand be like us – just munch on things because they taste good. These sweets are called Brigadeiros or “Bicho de Pé” and are made of one of the most intoxicating substances known to man/woman – condensed milk… oh how we love the stuff! So, feed your eyes – and then feed yourself with some of these Strawberry Brigadeiros, head on over to the Cookie Shop for the full recipe. Nomnom
