Today’s creative miscreant of the moment is… Blanka Biernat, we’ve seen the work of this little design she-devil popping up in Facebook feeds, and as super *grunts angrily* cute avatars all over damn twitter. She has the audacity to take your picture and turn it into a bespoke illustration!
And we don’t like it we tell you, we don’t like it a jot – we need design love too! So, this morning, we are spitting in the digital coffee of Blanka Biernat, whilst silently nursing a secret love and longing in our hearts. It’s like Helga and Arnold all over again.

We are all about the ethereal, the pixels and the pretty – but not always the practical. But, this afternoon we are sharing something extremely practical that is designed to make your day perfect and it is all about what lies beneath with Nudwear.
You’ve all had the lecture about appropriateness of undergarments in case you are hit by a bus (or other related vehicle) – however, this is about making sure that the gorgeous dress that you wear on your big day, has a seamless silhouette to site on top of!We can hear all the dress designers saying ‘Tell them sister child how important the underwear is!’ which Pyou should take to your dress fittings with you!
Nudwear was founded by best friends Astrid Montalta and Sammy Ivanko. The duo met while working in finance in New York before moving to London. Both had demanding careers, were always on the go and travelled constantly.
Inspired when searching for their bridal lingerie, Sammy and Astrid discovered the lingerie and shapewear in the market left much to be desired. They needed something that, like them, could go from the office to a party without sacrificing comfort or style. With no luck in their search, they set out to create their own and Nudwear was born!

When we reminisce on Field Trips when we a were yay high *points to some mythic point that no one else can observe offline* we think of having to hold hands *ick* we’d always hope that we wouldn’t have John Doe, (real name disguised for legal reason) who would either have sticky jam hands or have the subtle aroma of eau de pee-pee, what we don’t think of is an amazing 3 day trip to learn from some utterly amazing wedding photographers.
Step up Feather & Stone, who we can happily confirm don’t have this sticky and or aroma related issues, what the do have however is an utterly amazing Field Trip so we will hand over to them in both words and utterly incredible images to share more about what we consider to be an educational photographic trip of a lifetime with lots awesome creatives and artists!:
We’ll be holding our very first European Field Trip, a 3 day workshop designed to teach our wonderful attendees everything there is to know about shooting analog/film. It’s an intimate experience limited to only 15 attendees. We feel film photography is a step back to what photography used to be about, slowing down, making intentional art. It made us fall in love with our craft all over again and we want to share that with others.
We’re hosting it in Provence, France on 17-19 September, one of the most beautiful places in the world and we couldn’t be more excited to share this experience. We have a whole slew of incredibly talented artisans on board to make sure it’s not only an educational experience, but also a visually inspirational and dreamy 3 days. Kerry Bracken from Lavender & Rose will be styling 3 beautiful shoots across the 3 days. The epitome of romance in Claire Pettibone’s exquisite designs will be gracing our lovely real couples thanks to Russell from Blackburn Bridal. And many more exciting bits & pieces.
Earlier this year in January we held our first Field Trip in Byron Bay, Australia, it was an incredibly humbling experience and for us the start of something really special.
So, book it and go and have an amazing film and analogue experience!
