Welcome to Monday, I’m mostly pretending that I’m a superhero as I am in all kinds of love with ‘The Avengers’ Movie. I can’ quite quantify how many kinds of awesome it is, but suffice to say that it is the bomb.com. So, this week’s heroes are easy The Avengers, natch!
In addition, how fit is Scarlett Johannsen! Jeeze plus a bit of us… bit of a girl crush moment there!
Follow of the week has to be @wearelucky1. There is a secret benefactor going around handing out a £1000 quid a pop to lucky individuals, its nice hat good things happen in this fair city. So, follow him – the nice thing is that all of those who have been given money have paid it forward in good deeds. One of the recipients bought her elderly neighbour a boiler as she hadn’t had hot water for 6 years. Like the song says ‘People make the world ground’

This is last week’s Monday (shock horror) I mentioned that I had a little incident not a bad one that led to me having to do a disaster recovery pos instead. So, here is what I was gonna share – except for the link love which is a bit different. Smooches you lovely lot!
Well, welcome to Monday. I’m very proud of myself as I started running; finally – I half ran/walked- coughed, spluttered, and cursed. But, it felt amazing – I know that I am nowhere near marathon standard. But, running around the streets made me feel like a kid, when my favourite time was when the bell rang for break and I flapped around in a circle like a demented lunatic, zipping up and down the concrete feeling free. So, I have nothing but respect and admiration for anyone who has taken part in a Marathon.
So, I’ve signed up for my Team Bangs on the Run newsletter, and look forward to that golden time where I run like a maniac without stopping for nothing and no one!
So, hero of the week has got to be a running based one, and it is a bit of amazing history. Katherine Switzer the first woman to take part in the Boston Marathon. It goes to show how much we take for granted – and how far we have come, and how far we still have to go. But, brilliant that Katherine showed heroism and determination by not giving up despite the race official and completing the marathon. Amazing.
Also, on the topic of amazing women and the marathon just a whole lot of love and respect for the late Claire Squires, it is a story that can’t fail to move you, and it goes to show that even in tragedy – good things can happen.
And the link love for the week goes to:
Welcome to Monday Morning, I did have something specially prepared. I was like a sous chef y’all… all the goodness chopped and ready to go then dun dun dun.
A happy disaster struck as I have managed not to have my design laptop with me. The positive is that I’m going to do something rather constructive and that is work on my disaster/emergency recovery plan.
Today’s theme tune below, lovers!
The thing is that luckily I have a skeleton back up of almost all my files on my trusty portable hard drive, but it means lovelies that I cannot and will not have access to my all important emails boo and hoo until later on tonight.
So the teaches of Amma this morning are, make sure that you have a disaster recovery plan! I am lucky in the fact that my beloved ‘puter is safely ensconced a home, watching Jeremy Kyle, lounging on a Chaise Long and eating bon bons. But, if you haven’t got one in place do what I’ve been putting off for months and do your plan. If you want some help putting one together you can find some guidelines on business link. Sometimes, business water gets choppy so make sure you got yourself covered.
So on from seriousness on to pretties, my hero of the week can wait – but my link love of the week goes to Business Link. I love the fun and games of being a creative, however you always have to have the practical e.g. boring stuff covered and business plan are a great place to find everything that you need as a business owner.

Carly and Tim – gorgeousness via Boho Weddings and Events
Paint chips and water colours – 100 Layer Cake
