Pretty posies to decorate your pretty cake portions, we are in a whole lot of love for this project created and beautifully executed by the talented Chiara Alberetti Milott on Etsy. You can see the full unadulterated make-ness of this tutuorial on the the awesome Mint Design Blog. Prettiness and awesomeness unite for the sake cake… great cause in our humble opinion.
Normally, we’d say let them eat cake – but on a day like today. It is about chocolate, the comfort food of Monday Moaning champions and the goodies goodness comes courtesy of the awesome Raaka chocolate.
Now, although the fact this delicious bribe came straight out of Brooklyn, we need to make it clear that we don’t endorse something unless it is delicious (you can’t pay for a recommendation) , we have to say that this stuff is absolutely gorgeous and it is the rolls Royce of Chocolate.
Now, we’re sure that you are thinking why chocolate on a wedding blog, well other than the fact that Raaka is virgin chocolate and it is Vegan too! They have a fantastic array of flavours our personal faves were Bourbon and Chilli! Oh, we completely lost the plot there didn’t we… the reason why we love the chocolate so is that you can have custom created labels for your big day.
These came straight out of Brooklyn to the UK, so they are an international company don’t get put off by the fact it is coming from NY, lovers. So, lick those lips and enjoy a rather, tasty, chocolate alternative to cake in the form of chocolate. (We’ve got packaging, love!)
We were there in spirit; although the completely wrecked body and mind were languishing in bed, doing a super sulk as we wanted to get our cake and chocolate on that the dessert haven that is Choccywoccydoodah; for their bloggers and writers party. However, patting our little concave bellies (that are totally devoid of cake might we add) we’ve been forced to eat vicariously through photographs – all we can say is ooh wee at all the cake magic and the images from Tino and Pip *cries a bit*.
Choccywoccydoodah have come from the lovely coast of Brighton to the nitty gritty of the Big Bad City to bless both stomachs and eyes with their amazing cake creations. The new store has a magical Hansel and Gretel quality to it, with the plus side being that there is no evil witch trying to merk you. Although, as Miranda in Sex and the City said, the ‘evil witch’ was a bit misunderstood after all if you had made a dream house out of deliciousness, wouldn’t you want to kill the kids who ate it…just a little bit? Just us? Well, that certifies our evil credentials to the max, then.
If you want do more than live vicariously through tastebud entrancing images, then you might want to shake it down to Carnaby Street and pick up some rather tasty morsels. *Chocolate and cake mega drool*
The photographic glory goes to: Tino and Pip
We can’t quite express how much we love the lovely Debs of Belle Amour. She is the loveliest, unassuming, gorgeous and crafty person we know and she deserves mucho props.
Our mind pretty much exploded like a grenade during a Viet-cong assault in the 1970’s. What can we say other than this cake is amaze! Totally mind-blowing munnchableness! Debs, we salute you! See more of Debs Cake Bakey magic over on Belle Amour!
And yes we know that it is a birthday cake… but we reckon that this could be adapted to be a rather incredible wedding cake!
