Duos can work against each other: Moriaty and Holmes, Vader and Skywalker (until the Jerry Springer/Sally Jessie Raphael/Oprah – ‘I’m yo’ daddy’ moment). Sometimes the dynamics of a duo equal epic with a bit of ness; such as the Zombie Boy and Andrej Pejic shoot, Batman and Robin, and cookies and milk – we have to add Ben Blood and Kyle Johnson to the line up as together they make awesome!
This shoot is the Venn diagram of photographic majesties: Ben Blood and Kyle Johnson have concocted the best mashup since Songs in the Key of Dee (Beach Boys Vs J Dilla – it is an epic, trust us on this).
Visually, we have the medium format magic of the Hasselblad in one corner of the ring, and digital destruction in the other. But, when they come together they complement each other beautifully, both mediums celebrate the raw beauty of Anna and Stephen’s wedding. As always with us, it is about mood, emotion, and raw feeling and the essence of the day is carefully held in each gorgeous pixel.
Faces etched with laughter, love, joy, happiness – the essence of the big day artfully captured by two lens kings. So, we will love you and leave you this Friday to contemplate the beauty of this gorgeous shoot. Luxuriate in some ocular treats; Namaste until Monday. See Some More
We developed a penchant for Elsie’s blogging stylistics and craft gymnastics after being introduced via Rock n Roll Bride. A Beautiful Mess has become a go-to read ever since we were introduced to it. So, when someone who oozes craftiness and on top of all that is a rather happening cool cat, you believe that when they get hitched it will be the bomb.com. (and it was!!!)
Elsie got married to her wonderful young man, Jeremy, earlier this year (you can get shuttergasms by having a peruse of Style Me Pretty), and we are happier than a bird with a French fry to be able to showcase the beautiful before shoot.
Aa couple of days before the big exchange of the tiniest handcuffs in the world. Arrow and Apple did a shoot (we really weren’t aiming for a pun, but there is a William Tell joke in that) with the couple beforehand. And it is safe to say that we adore every single stonking image.
There is a sweet and gentle fervour that infuses each image, there is something so golden about it just being the couple. Alone, with nothing but one but each other, the way in which it will be for a lifetime. Elsie and Jeremy have mad style and we adore not only the feather crown, but the gorgeous bow that Elsie rocks in this shoot too.
So, dear lovers – it is time for your to indulge in some glorious shutter candy with thanks to Arrow and Apple for the visual treats. We are shutter candy a-go-go! See Some More
Sweet little lord Jesus all angelic and omnipotent in his tiny holy babygro – we love this shoot! Visually it didn’t just kill us, this shoot from Smirnov Weddings is straight violent visual murder, and this is one murder that we are happy to be victim to – this couple *kisses hand and bites fist* are magnificently cool. Cool with a K, cooler than the cool side of a pillow, in an Eskimo’s Igloo that doesn’t have a draft excluder, cooler than Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool!
Every. Single. Image. In. This. Shoot. Looks. Iconic! These gorgeous images that have our minds blown (we were so going to put in inappropriate metaphor in but we’ll stop ourselves). Ksenia and Mitya got down and photographically dirty in some sweet spots around South Philly (you know not from West Philly, where the Fresh Prince comes from!) for their intimate wedding shoot. We are pretty sure that this couple must be making sweet marital music together, because to our minds – these images look like they could have been gleaned from an Album shoot – Smirnov Weddings do commercial work/music work and we can see that sensibility squeaking through in these sumptuous images.
So, we’ll button up and let you enjoy shutter candy ecstasy with this gorgeous shoot time for more Ksenia and Mitya! See Some More
All of those looking out at London town, don’t be fooled despite that crisp blue sky and the sunlit buildings illuminated by our fair-weather friend Mr Sunshine. It is colder than December 25th, and speaking of present day – we have a little Christmas wedding inspiration. We hear the collective gasp from those of you trying to hold tight to October – but let’s face it; we ain’t far off the land of Turkey, Indigestion and after eights.
So, what could be better than this gorgeous shutter candy (step forward and take a bow Heather Parker Photography) from the lovely day that Jacqui Snow and John McVey got married! (Jacqui Snow – she was born with a name that demanded a winter wedding!) By, the time you throw in mismatched bridal wellies – we are in the arena of the sublime. So, bunnies – snuggle with something nice and hot to imbibe and enjoy some beautiful wedding action. Let shutter candy commence! See Some More
