The Pink Ombre Desert Bride

The Pink Ombre Desert Bride

The best kinds of treats are visual treats and after the ridiculous gorging we engaged in (trust us it would make a competitive eater blush) – visual treats are all that we are allowing ourselves, for now…

However, this is the equivalent of 8 Christmas dinners and a sticky toffee pudding rolled into one, as this mega sweet and delicious shoot comes from the lens of Amy Cloud Photography – dessert, a pink haired beauty, and ethereal images: Well lovers, that is just the kind of feast that we can down with.

Amy shared:  These were taken near Las Vegas at the Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area. Stacia wore a simple vintage dress and vintage fur shawl that she found at an antique store. She had a lavender bouquet and wore a single turquoise stone necklace.

She is a hair and makeup artist and get ready herself. Stacia wanted to be a simple bride who stood out in an amazing location. She also wanted to wear something that was totally her and unique to her own style. Her fabulous purple to pink ombre hair was the perfect touch.

So, apart from the obvious location envy – the cray-cray weather is a hurt to even experience vicariously on a computer screen, it all about these beautiful images of beautiful Stacia… think it’s about time for shutter candy to begin!

Best of The Guest: The Boys

Well, since it is London Collections: Men in our fair city this week, it seems only fair that we do a little something -something for the fellas up on the blog.  It is all about the boys and we need Minaj and Cassie to make this post all spurious and ‘ting’.

Now we could be all Suit and Tie… spurious Timberlake and Jay Z: well okay then – but we wanted to be a little bit more varied than that – although there is nothing like a man in suit, Idris Elba is our favourite piece of visual evidence, mmmmm Idris!

This post is all about trends for 2014 from looks for the groom or if you are a guest who is interested in a wee bit more than the usual two piece hustle – then we hope that this inspiration enough for you.

We don’t know about the beauty side of things for the boys so we aren’t going all out for the man-scaping.  However, these are a few of our favourite stylish things for ‘The Boys’ and a look at some of the trends coming up in 2014.

Flower Power

Boys and flowers… yes really it is a look that few can pull off but we hope a few more guys try.  Real men can do floral outside of Hawaiian Shirts

Soft Power

Most guys don’t like the idea of being aligned, adjacent or next to the word ‘soft’ however in this instance soft is good (and you should be grateful that we’ve been super restrained as we fought the urge to turn this into a filthy joke – if you would like to know the filthy joke: ours is a vodka (double) and orange and we’ll meet at the pub at say 6 o’clock?).

However, in this instance it is about loose fitting and gentle layers – no more tight tregs, let it breathe!

Mid Century Modern

Throwback magic – a little bit of the fifties, minus the crappy part such as lack of rights for women, segregation and all that good stuff – it’s merely retro cuts and fits.

Fine and Dandy

It’s all about channelling the energy of Beau Brummel and be all kinds of fine and dandy man!

In the Navy

Only in a colour sense and not the village people way – it’s good to be blue (at least when it comes to  outfits).

Just because you’ve left school it isn’t too late for you to wear short pants – do the short pants dance.

We wonder which looks might surface in 2014 Groom style… we can’t wait to see what happens in the dude style stakes?  Your thoughts?

Envy Never Looked so Good!

Envy Never Looked so Good!

This is a bit of a modern wedding graphic wonder – as in we wonder why we are being tortured (albeit exquisitely in a design sense only) by this super sweet suite from Clara Mulligan.

Luckily as we’ve eaten our body weight in chocolate we are still to festively plump and sedated to work ourselves up into a potty mouth or foaming mouth frenzy over these here graphics.  It beautiful, bold, embossed (we see that gold and silver going on) and green – and not only is it green it has made us green.

Modernist meets tribal

Our xmas acquired bingo wings won’t allow us to throw shade, we’re too out of shape.
