Be still our beating hearts and greedy stomachs. Through the technical wizardry of twitter we happened upon the amazing cakes of Janet Mohapi Banks. Her work is mind blowing edible art. Based in Epsom, Surrey Janet started cake making with her grandmother as a young child.

Offering a bespoke service that is truly personal to the happy couple, every cake is tailor made. Janet says “When buying a cake from me, the process starts with a private consultation in the comfort of the clients home and I provide some scrummy samples for them to try. We discuss everything about their dream wedding cake, from the colour scheme to any sugar models. I then sketch out a few designs with them.
A few more designs usually accompany the written follow up as I always come up with more ideas on the discussed themes.”

Janet is open to experimenting with new recipes. So, even if it is not on the list of cake centres, you are encouraged to ask as it still might be possible. The ingredients sourced for the cakes are the finest in organic and fair trade produce.

Janet is also being extremely charitable at the moment, any cakes ordered for delivery or posted March 22nd to 26th will raise funds for Haiti (25% of price paid donated).
