If you have a good memory you may just remember this adorable couple that we featured on Beyond Beyond a little way back. Well they are back and this time they are… MARRIED! We made that seem ominous – but really it’s beautiful, it’s time for you lovely people to step into the world Olivia & Lekai.
The lens queen behind this shoot, Maureen du Preez, shared: They had a sweet & meaningful ceremony at their church in Harrow, West London. Their reception was held at St Paul’s in Ealing & the venue was decorated beautifully with wild flowers, tweed & bunting.
The day was also filled with fun, quirky touches. The couple hired a fish & chips van to feed their guests, with a vintage-style ice-cream cart for dessert.
They also had a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony as the groom’s family is from Malaysia. Olivia got a lot of her wedding ideas from Pinterest & is now a self-proclaimed addict! Her family were a bit help in making her dream wedding possible, her mother even arranged her stunning bouquet!
So you want to know more about who else was behind this gorgeous day newlywed and pinterest addict Olivia said:
We used Casablanca Hire to rent a lot of stuff, including tables, chairs, table covers, glasses, jugs, plates etc. Basically anything you need in terms of equipment, they have it. Whenever I thought of something else we needed I would just call them and they’d happily add it to our order
A lot of the decoration we did ourselves, my Mum did all the flowers, including the bouquets. If people plan on doing their own flowers we’d recommend using the Convent Garden flower market, it means an early start, but it is well worth it.
We used Fish and Chip Catering for our fish and chips. They were AMAZING! My Mum wasn’t sure about how good the fish and chips would be if they were catering to so many people, but the fish was fresh and the chips thick and crispy! It’s also a cheaper alternative per head than a classic three course meal-
For dessert we used the Matt Benecci Ice Cream Co. It added asome extra fun to the wedding and there was plenty of delicious ice-cream to go around for everyone. -
We had an amazing band called Our Dad play in the evening, they’re a jazz funk band and everyone enjoyed dancing to their music. It was the perfect music for a warm summer’s night! -
Even though it was a lot of hard work using an empty venue, and literally designing it from scratch and setting up the venue the day before, it was well worth it when we saw the end results. The whole day was perfect and better than we ever dreamed it would be.See Some More Post a comment (4)
