When we were asked what our religion was on this year’s census form we drew a blank. But, after looking at these images we are followers of the righteous photography teachings from the church of the Feather Stonians. We love Feather and Stone so much we could pull out Exhibits A – Z and just give you a lovely load of links from their blog and let you do the work. But, because we are kind of nice like that we have decided to bless you non believers and new converts alike with not one but two shoots.
TWO shoots…
TWO SHOOTS…
We just needed to make sure that we were very explicit in the fact that that this is a double dip of the good kind (as all other references of double dip pertains to dat Osborne and we don’t need to go there). Anyhoo, the first shoot that we have to make you go woop woop is that of Pete and Shan. Shan and Pete are luckier than Obama’s bodyguard who took the day off Monday and went Kayaking, had a little sunbathe and ate candyfloss (too soon?) Thought it might be… ahem… we digress.
The reason why Pete and Shan were lucky (with no further jokes) is due to the fact that they were the winners of the Feather and Stone photography competition. After an informal pyjama meeting on Skype (Skype, is wonderful a tool which allows you never to dress appropriately for meetings).
They say: “They told us about themselves as a couple, how they met, how they got engaged and we chatted about their concept. Over the next few weeks they sent us photos updating us with their photos shoot “finds”, an old television they found on the side of the road (score), a few old chairs, their beloved framed painting of Mt Fuji (where Pete proposed) and other various bits and bobs.
After flights and hotels were booked we flew down to sunny Sydney and were greeted in our hotel with 2 lovely bottles of wine and a sweet card. The following day we finally met the lovely pair in the flesh and caught up over a cup of coffee. Rearing to go we jumped in their cars, (trampoline firmly attached to the roof of one) and we set off to Centennial Park.
We then unloaded the “living room” which they’d put together and it went from there”
So there you have the conception, and now onto the creation – Pete + Shan and the rather fantabulous Feather and Stone.
The photographic glory goes to: Feather and Stone

I love water shots they’re so ethereal. I also love that all the elements are in this photo shoot: water, air, and earth. I assume that the fire is their love
