A cake covered in springtime florals (‘ello daisies); is a beautiful wedding idea designed to coax the sun out (where are you oh golden heat giving orb, we’ll never complain about it only being 23 degrees if only you’d high five our skin, make us perspire, cause train track problems, and cause the ice cream sirens to ring in our ears again).
This beautiful spring like cake is from the wedding of Paige & Ben, as captured by Austin Gros Photography and planned by Cedarwood weddings. See, the whole beautiful shebang in this here blog post. (and there is a bit more to behold on Ruffled).
Kind of helps if we mention that the cake creation is from Patty Cakes
Today is my little turn (and in case it’s your first time around these parts my name is Amma, nice to meet you…) in the Pin It forward the UK Pinterest Campaign – Pinterest is a place for storing visual inspiration, but it is so addictive that it needs its own equivalent of the Betty Ford clinic. I love it… a little bit too much, so please feel free to stage an intervention if you find me pinning anything past 2 AM in the morning!
The obvious board that I could share my Wedding Inspiration board – it’s got oodles of stuff from a ton of amazing weddings, sites, bloggers, and artistes. But, my favourite board is True Dat. I think that there was this stage in life where I thought I would hit a magic number and I would automatically have life on lock; know everything there was in the world about life and never make another mistake ever again.
However, life never works that way and thank goodness; every day, and every moment I get to learn something new or relearn a bit of old wisdom and lessons of that ilk are on the True Dat board which is pep-talk tastic.
It’s filled bon mots, aphorisms, clichés, slogans for t-shirts, wisdom and more than a fair few misquotes (I’ve seen both John Lennon and Socrates say the exact same thing – it’s amazing!). But, the thing about the board is that whenever I feel a bit crappy – I always find something inspiring that helps me to find my smile. So on one of those days where you woke up on the wrong side of the bed, endured a commute from hell, or wanted to power slap someone – dip into the True Dat board and find a bit of visual Chicken Soup for the Soul.
If you would like to have no social life, never see your friends ever again, and shout ‘Repin’ at everything that you see – then you might want to follow this Linky-dink and join me in Pinterest land.
Now onto the next lovely over to my bloggista and fellow wedding blogger Lou!

You know us we are big brand super stans, but nothing warms our fashion cockles more than seeing independent designer magic. We are lovers, likers, and stalkers of Grace Loves Lace – having featured her super fine wedding design before.
We spied killer photography, visually eloped with some utterly amazing dresses, and nearly short circuited out keyboard with the river of drool that fell from our jaws when we saw the new editions to what is already a wonderful collection. You can see previous Grace Love Lace designs we featured right here… however you can go and get some dress magic at the store. Free spirited, bohemian lushness it’s right up our street and round the corner!
Simply divine…
