Not, Dev Hynes, it is also an amazing cake.
Break us of a piece of that.
Why do we lie? We’ll be round the corner with drool smearing our faces in a partial sugar coma. We love this delectable cake by Tessa Huff on the Cake Blog. See the full post right over here
Well this afternoon darlinks – we believe that you need some inspiration sublime and supreme and we have that by the motherload in this gorgeous shoot from lens of Sarah Morris Photography – with an ensemble of wedding all stars – like the Avengers (only better – yes really!).
It is very roll and rock, jaw gnashingly gorgeous – but less hyperbole and more deets from the Lady of the lens; Sarah:
I don’t really know what to say other than I wanted to create a styled shoot using bridal suppliers I admired but with a difference, I wanted it to have dark undertones, I watched Mad Max over Christmas and it had stuck with me, I wanted a gorgeous bride in a juxtapose with a seemingly post apocalyptic world.
We were thrown a few curve balls as we had a model drop out and getting our hands on a vehicle was near on impossible!
At last with a wonderful crack team of Celine (mua) www.celinebopp.com, Tori (hair) www.torihutchinson.com , Elizabeth (cake, cupcakes and cake pops) www.elizabethscakeemporium.com, Dresses (Faith) www.faithbarber.com , Felicity (Flora Hall flowers www.facebook.com/FloraHallFlowers , Assistant (Carmen my daughter!)
We managed to create a shoot that was close enough to my concept for me to be happy, I created the small props myself, wings from eBay and balloons from the local party shop which I customised with feathers, we only managed a slight nod toward Mad Max but I think we achieved a dark enough bridal shoot!!
So step in to a world of edgy wedding darkness… and let the shutter candy begin!See Some More Post a comment (8)
These had us ‘Hello’…
That’s right Macaroons… come and say ‘Hello’ to tummy!
Valentine’s day may well be over (don’t worry it will soon be Christmas) but we do like this slice of throwback deliciousness via Ruffled Blog, the topper says xoxo (not Oxo cake although we wonder what that would taste like) and that is the way that we feel about cake all the damn time.
The photographic glory goes to: Sara & Rocky
